Velumani completely rejected these allegations. He stated that no one from their side is looking for cabinet berths or favors from the new administration.
He acknowledged the reality of the election outcomes openly. He noted that the public chose to support the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam while their own party suffered a clear defeat at the polls. Velumani emphasized that the party accepts this mandate and is not trying to bargain for power behind the scenes.

He explained that the lawmakers simply want the leadership to call a meeting of the general council.
