Adventure sports in India witnessed a historic moment when Saesha Mangesh Raut, aged 9 years, successfully completed a solo paragliding flight and achieved recognition as the Youngest Paraglider Pilot.
The achievement took place at Bir Billing, Himachal Pradesh, one of the world’s most famous paragliding destinations. Saesha underwent rigorous training at the renowned Anti Gravity Institute, where she learned the technical and practical aspects of paragliding under professional supervision.
The training program was supported by the dedicated Anti Gravity team, comprising Sushant Thakur, Sonu, Gaurav, Anshika Rana, Bhanu, Hritik, Sunny, Akshu, Karan, and Krish, who assisted and motivated Saesha throughout her preparation journey.
On 15 May 2026 at 6:00 AM, Saesha launched her solo flight from an altitude of 2452 meters under the supervision of expert instructors Rakesh Kumar and Vikash Thakur. During the flight, she remained in the air for 13 minutes and 37 seconds, confidently controlling the paraglider and maintaining stability throughout the performance.
The attempt was carefully monitored using GPS tracking systems and altimeter devices, ensuring all measurements and flight details were accurately recorded.
According to trainers, Saesha displayed remarkable courage and maturity during the solo flight. Inspired by her father, who is himself an experienced paraglider pilot, she developed a passion for flying at a very young age and had already completed multiple paragliding flights before this achievement.
Her accomplishment has brought pride to her family, trainers, and the adventure sports community. Many people have appreciated her fearless attitude and dedication, describing her success as a motivating example for young adventure enthusiasts across India.
