Sanjush has issued a clarification regarding the road accident on August 16 that resulted in the death of Bharathi Mukhi, stating that he did not flee from the scene and that he immediately took the injured woman to hospital in his vehicle.
In his statement, Sanjush said he was deeply saddened by Bharathi Mukhi’s death and expressed his condolences to her family. He also appealed for the circumstances surrounding the incident to be examined in their entirety, including what happened before, during and after the accident.
“I did not flee after the accident. I immediately took Bharathi Mukhi to the hospital in my vehicle and tried to ensure that she received the medical attention she needed,” Sanjush said, adding that he remains deeply regretful over the loss of her life.
Addressing reports and questions surrounding his actions after the accident, Sanjush said he personally went to the police station following the incident and explained the circumstances to the authorities. He said he has been cooperating with the investigation and will continue to make himself available to the police whenever required.
Sanjush further stated that three medical tests were conducted following the accident a breath analyser test, a urine test and a blood test. According to him, all three tests returned negative results.
He said these medical findings should form part of the evidence considered by the investigating authorities while establishing the circumstances of the accident.
“I have full faith in the law and in the investigation. I have nothing to hide and will provide all information and assistance required by the authorities,” Sanjush said.
He also stressed the importance of examining all available evidence before reaching any conclusions about the incident. This, he said, should include CCTV footage, medical test results and any other material that could help establish what happened.
Sanjush said it was important that the events leading up to the accident, the accident itself and the actions taken immediately afterwards be looked at comprehensively.
“Every aspect of the incident should be examined fairly and thoroughly. CCTV footage, medical reports, test results and other available evidence can help establish the facts. I request that the investigation be allowed to proceed on the basis of all the evidence,” Sanjush said.
Expressing his grief over Bharathi Mukhi’s death, Sanjush said the incident had left him deeply saddened. He conveyed his sympathies to her family and said he was willing to assist them to the extent possible while respecting the ongoing legal process.
“I am deeply saddened by Bharathi Mukhi’s death. My thoughts are with her family at this difficult time. Nothing can undo the loss they have suffered, but I will extend whatever assistance is possible while fully respecting the law and the investigation,” sanjush said.
Sanjush reiterated that he would cooperate completely with the authorities and provide any information or clarification sought during the investigation. He said he respected the legal process and was prepared to accept his responsibilities in accordance with the law.
He also urged that speculation not be allowed to overshadow the facts that emerge through the investigation.
“My faith is in the law and the judiciary. I will respect the process and cooperate fully. I only hope that all the facts are examined and that the truth is established on the basis of evidence,” Sanjush said.
The clarification comes as the circumstances surrounding the August 16 accident continue to be examined by the authorities. Sanjush maintained that he has cooperated with the investigation from the outset and remains committed to doing so.
He said his priority after the accident was to ensure that Bharathi Mukhi received medical assistance and that he subsequently approached the police himself to explain what had happened.
Sanjush concluded by reiterating his condolences to Bharathi Mukhi’s family and his commitment to cooperating with the investigation until all aspects of the incident have been examined.
