TRIVANDRUM: The Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) Kerala, in collaboration with the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Cochin Branch, successfully organized an awareness workshop on the MSME TEAM Initiative on 24 May 2026 at Hotel Hyatt, Trivandrum. The workshop attracted entrepreneurs, business owners, startup founders, professionals, and representatives from various industries who wanted to learn more about government support for micro, small, and medium enterprises.
The main purpose of the workshop was to spread awareness about the MSME TEAM Initiative and explain how businesses can benefit from different government schemes and services. The organizers wanted participants to understand the importance of digital transformation, technology adoption, and skill development for long term business success.
The event began with the inauguration by Chief Guest Smt. Jeeva, IFS. In her address, she appreciated the efforts of SICCI Kerala and NSIC for creating a platform that connects businesses with government support. She encouraged entrepreneurs to keep learning, adopt new ideas, and make use of the opportunities provided by government initiatives to improve their businesses.
Sh. Premraj, Additional Director, Directorate of Industries, Government of Kerala, also addressed the gathering. He spoke about the important role of MSMEs in the state’s economy and explained how the government is working to help small businesses through financial support, training programs, and technology driven initiatives. He advised entrepreneurs to stay updated with the latest schemes that can help them expand their businesses.
Dr. Thomas Nechupadam, Chair of SICCI Kerala, delivered a special address during the workshop. He said that MSMEs are one of the strongest pillars of India’s economy because they create jobs and encourage innovation. He shared that SICCI Kerala remains dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs by organizing awareness programs, connecting businesses with experts, and creating opportunities for growth through industry partnerships.
The technical sessions conducted by NSIC experts were one of the main highlights of the workshop. Awareness Workshop on MSME TEAM Initiative Conducted by SICCI Kerala and NSIC
TRIVANDRUM: To promote awareness about government support for small businesses, the Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) Kerala, in partnership with the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Cochin Branch, organized an awareness workshop on the MSME TEAM Initiative on 24 May 2026 at Hotel Hyatt, Trivandrum. The event received an encouraging response from entrepreneurs, industry leaders, startup founders, and business professionals from different parts of Kerala.
