In a recent conversation with Foxstory India, Sourav Roy shared insights into the driving forces behind his creativity and the mindset that keeps him motivated in a competitive industry.
What drives you daily to stay so motivated in your music?
“For me, music is not ‘work.’ I am passionate about it to such an extent that even if I spend 18 hours a day in the studio, I don’t feel exhausted. When you truly love something whether it is poetry, dance, filmmaking, or sports—you don’t feel drained by it. Motivation does not need to come from an external force; it is something I channel from within to make things happen.”
Roy’s perspective highlights a belief that Passion itself can become the most powerful fuel for creativity and endurance. For him, the studio is not merely a workplace but a space where ideas, emotions, and melodies converge.
How would you describe your journey and the purpose behind your music?
“I chose music because I wanted to work for the people. It is one of the greatest mediums to connect with people. Whether it is a wedding celebration or a moment of grief, we express our deepest emotions through music. I want to be there with people through those emotions, and that connection is what keeps me going.”
For Sourav Roy, music is far more than performance it is a bridge between human emotions and shared experiences.
