Band-It
The regional rounds of Band-It 2025 , India’s largest inter-school performing arts competition, concluded with remarkable enthusiasm and participation, highlighting the growing importance of arts education among young learners. Students from across the country delivered inspiring performances, transforming each regional event into a celebration of creativity, discipline, and confidence.
Held across 11 major cities — Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Madurai, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, Nagpur, Noida, Hyderabad, and Udaipur — Band-It 2025 witnessed participation from over 400 schools and more than 5,000 students, making it one of the most expansive editions to date.
The regional stages came alive with a diverse range of performances, including powerful vocal renditions, technically refined instrumental acts, energetic dance routines, and expressive speech and drama presentations. More than a competition, the regional rounds served as platforms for self-expression, teamwork, and artistic exploration, reinforcing the role of performing arts in holistic student development.
A Legacy-Driven Platform for Artistic Growth
Band-It is an initiative by Furtados School of Music (FSM), a trusted name in India’s music education ecosystem for over 160 years . Established in 1865, Furtados has evolved from a heritage music store into a nationwide institution offering music education, digital learning solutions, and performance platforms.
What began as a music-focused competition has grown into India’s largest inter-school performing arts festival, encompassing music, dance, and speech & drama. This expansion reflects FSM’s belief that every child deserves a platform to perform, grow, and gain confidence through the arts.
Strengthened Reach Through Global Schools Group Partnership
Band-It 2025 marked a major milestone with Global Schools Group (GSG) joining as the Official Partner. With over 60 schools across 11 countries, GSG’s presence significantly expanded the competition’s reach. In India, GSG operates multiple international school brands offering CBSE, ICSE, Cambridge, IB, and other global curricula.
Several GSG campuses, including Witty International, Glendale, and Global Indian International School (GIIS), also served as Venue Partners, offering world-class auditoriums and facilities that enhanced the experience for participants and audiences alike.

Supported by Anthony Gomes and Joseph Gomes, who continue the Furtados legacy, Band-It has scaled nationally while maintaining high standards of professionalism and impact.
As Band-It 2025 moves toward its Grand Finale, the regional rounds stand as a powerful testament to India’s emerging young performers — confident, expressive, and ready to shine on the national stage.
