
The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) chapter of WOSY celebrated its Foundation Day with a meaningful tree plantation program held yesterday evening at the Madhuban area of the university campus. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness and the spirit of global unity.
Speaking on the occasion, Sudip Chandra Halder, Convenor of WOSY BHU and a noted poet and researcher, said:
“WOSY believes in Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the idea that the whole world is one family. Guided by this philosophy, WOSY has been working to uphold the rights of international students studying in Great Bharat(India). We are committed to being even more active and supportive in the days ahead.”
He extended warm greetings to everyone on the Foundation Day.

Prashant Roy, President of ABVP BHU, shared that,
“Through WOSY, we witness a beautiful exchange of cultural heritage and the growth of mutual harmony among students.”
Bhaskar Aditya Tripathi, General Secretary of ABVP BHU, added,
“WOSY has been contributing to student welfare and cultural unity for the past 40 years. We believe the organization will continue to move forward even more effectively in the future.”
Among others present were Chitradeep Saha, Anushka Tiwari, Sudha Devi, Swapan Roy, Arul Selvam, and AlMustafa Jasim.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Convenor Sudip Chandra Halder, who expressed gratitude to all attendees for making the program a success.
