Yuva Uddan Charitable Trust
On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, Yuva Uddan Charitable Trust (earlier known as Yuva Udaan Foundation) organized a heartfelt initiative to bring smiles to those who work tirelessly even on festive days. The team distributed over 1000 water bottles to daily wage earners, janitors, transport workers, and others who continue to serve the community while everyone else celebrates the festival of lights.
The event began early in the morning from Yogi Hills, Mulund, and extended all the way to Kopri, covering multiple key spots such as Teen Hath Naka, Kopri Bus Depot, Kopri Shiv Mandir, as well as several construction sites and petrol pumps across Mulund and Thane.
The final stop of the day was Kopri Bus Depot, where members of Yuva Uddan Charitable Trust personally handed water bottles to bus drivers, conductors, and the entire depot management team. Around 150–200 additional bottles were left at the depot to ensure that other drivers and staff members who arrived later could also benefit.
During the visit, Nikhil Waghmare and a few other members from the depot praised the hard work and dedication of the Yuva Uddan team for their thoughtful efforts and commitment to community service.
Speaking about the initiative, representatives from Yuva Uddan Charitable Trust said,
“We often forget the people who work behind the scenes — the janitors sweeping our streets, the drivers and conductors ensuring we reach our destinations safely, and the laborers toiling under the sun. On Diwali, while most of us enjoy holidays with family, these individuals continue to serve. Through this small gesture, we wanted to make them feel valued and appreciated.”
Throughout the day, the team made special efforts to reach out to road cleaners and janitors, providing them with water bottles as a token of respect for their hard work under the scorching sun.
This thoughtful act by Yuva Uddan Charitable Trust highlights the importance of empathy, inclusivity, and recognition for all sections of society. It serves as a reminder that festivals like Diwali shine brightest when shared with those who need it most.
