How does it feel to be back to the ‘City Of Joy’ with the festivities just round the corner?
Like I always say, Kolkata is where my heart dwells. Whichever country I may be having my footprints on, Durga Puja is one such time of the year, which brings me back. We celebrate at our own Thakur Bari and this unwinding is a much awaited festivity every year and not to miss out on my favourite putchkas. It’s my reset. Drums and lights clear my mind. Home grounds me after flights.
This year has been very eventful for you with you being in France and Spain; share some of your experiences?
Yes this year has also been very engaging and hectic. We had our international product launch of La Belleza in Paris earlier this year, followed by attending global entrepreneurs conclave in Singapore. Then in Mumbai Dr. Supratim Akaash Paul and I got awarded “The Most Popular Power Couple Award 2025”from South East Asian Entrepreneurs Forum and the regular expansion of our eleven verticals worldwide under the banner of Dr. Paul’s Group Of Companies.
What makes success real for you?
Impact on others counts the most. Not just money or material success. Inspire the younger generation to dream big. That’s my goal. People should grow over pettiness and evolve as a true human being.
You are known as the quintessential Bengali Diva with beauty and brains and a distinct style of your own. How do you always look so beautiful and elegant?
I feel truly humbled to be showered with so much love. It comes very naturally and effortlessly; I just try to be myself. I love being original, old school and classic and that probably has emerged as a distinct style of mine. Truly a beautiful feeling to see so many follow my style and the kind of sarees I drape and the compliments I am flooded with is so overwhelming.
You are trending every other day on Google even though you are not that much on social media. How does it feel?
Honestly, I hardly get time to be on social media. However, I focus a lot on my work and probably those get captured worldwide making news. I would again repeat that the sheer love I receive across the globe is truly humbling and I feel privileged and blessed.
How do you stay motivated?
Set small wins and celebrate them. Roots like Kolkata keep me going. Share your story to lift others.
