Roohdaar Films & Entertainment Gears Up for Debut Release: ‘Mother of Many Hands’

August 2025 Mumbai — After announcing the launch of Roohdaar Films & Entertainment earlier this year, founder Manish Chaubey and his dynamic team are all set to make their creative debut with an emotionally stirring documentary titled ‘Mother of Many Hands.’

Currently in post-production, the documentary marks the beginning of Roohdaar’s journey into soul-stirring storytelling—true to its name, which translates to “the one who holds the soul.” The film is expected to release later this year and has already created early buzz in the independent film circuit for its poignant subject and grounded treatment.

A Story That Needed to Be Told

‘Mother of Many Hands’ is more than just a documentary—it’s a tribute to the resilience of Indian women working silently and selflessly behind closed doors. The film follows the life of a young domestic worker and mother of three who chooses an honest path of survival despite the crushing weight of poverty. Migrating from Maharashtra to Hyderabad in search of a better life, she finds herself working tirelessly to support her family while maintaining her dignity and dreams.

Filmed over several weeks in Hyderabad, the documentary captures intimate moments from her daily life—her interactions with her children, her quiet strength, her dreams, and the sheer weight she carries, not just with her hands, but with her heart. The story explores themes of migration, motherhood, and moral integrity in a world that often offers shortcuts but rarely compassion.

Speaking about the documentary, Manish Chaubey, founder of Roohdaar Films & Entertainment, shared:

Launched in 2024, Roohdaar Films & Entertainment (ROOFe) is a full-service creative house that offers end-to-end solutions—from film and documentary production to PR, celebrity management, digital marketing, and event handling. Headquartered in Delhi with teams in mumbai and Hyderabad, ROOFe is already becoming known for blending professional rigor with heartfelt storytelling.

Co-founded by Manish Chaubey and Reeshma Radhakrrishnan, the venture reflects years of experience in journalism, public relations, management in Bollywood. Manish, who transitioned from IT to filmmaking, has worked behind the scenes with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Now, with Roohdaar, he is stepping into the creative spotlight.
