Narendra Kumar
As India celebrates the birthday of Narendra Kumar on 6 August, it’s a great day to reflect on the journey of a man who transitioned from corporate boardrooms to grassroots empowerment. Narendra Kumar was born in 1984 in a farmer’s family in Sitamarhi, Bihar. In the last 10 years, he has emerged as a strong voice for social transformation, cow protection, and village modernization, as well as digitalization.
His journey has never been a walk in the park. A Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary by profession, Narendra Kumar started his career in the corporate world, showcasing his capabilities and contributing to the success of reputed MNCs for 5 years, eventually serving as CFO. In 2015, he heard his heart’s call and chose to walk away from corporate comfort and founded Enterslice, a management consulting and legaltech advisory firm. This was just the start for a person who struggled and made it big in all the spheres of life.
A Mission Above and Beyond Profit
In 2018, he established Hindrise Social Welfare Foundation with a desire to achieve the Zero Hunger Mission. This initiative acts as the base for multiple projects and campaigns targeting food insecurity and malnutrition, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. By 2020, inspired by the PM Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of an Aatmnirbhar Bharat and Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of Adarsh Gram and Gram Swaraj, he launched, Aatmnirbhar Sena, an organization working to make India self-reliant and empower micro and small entrepreneurs.
Aatmnirbhar Sena, an initiative by Narendra Kumar, provides support from helping identify the right product or service, to marketing, technological upskilling, compliance training, and access to capital through startup investors, VCs, Angel Investors, and NBFCs.
Supporting Streetpreneurs & Empowering Women
Many women-centric initiatives have been taken through Aatmnirbhar Sena. Some of the prominent initiatives include financial inclusion drives, entrepreneurship programs, skill development training, and content marketing for self-employment. Street vendors and hawkers are usually ignored, but it has received proper support through skill upgradation training and business mentorship camps organized by Aatmnirbhar Sena.
Narendra Kumar’s impact has been deeply felt in his heartland, Sitamarhi. Initiatives taken by him through Aatmnirbhar Sena, such as free computer classes, dairy and vermicompost training, and job-based education, have changed thousands of lives. He is a role model for youth in Sitamarhi and nearby villages.
COVID Warrior and Community Celebrity
When the world was suffering and COVID-19 wreaked havoc throughout India, Narendra Kumar and his team under Hindrise Social Welfare Foundation stepped in as unsung heroes. They established a CovidWAR Room in Sitamarhi, and distributed more than 5 lakh rations and medicine kits in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi NCR. From manufacturing and distributing masks to installing over 500 sanitizer dispensers, the Hindrise team worked tirelessly, day and night, to defeat both waves of the pandemic. Their community kitchens in the name of Aatmnirbhar Seva Kitchen fed countless families free of cost. Hindrise special outreach camps were organized for slum kids and daily wage earners.
After consistent efforts and commitment towards the betterment of society, it was time for rewards and recognition. He was felicitated by the Police Commissionerate of Gautam Buddha Nagar on January 26, 2021. In 2022, he received the Pride of Bihar Award at a prestigious event organized and backed by Hindustan Media.
From Serving Cows to Standing for the Elderly
Narendra Kumar is a gau enthusiast and a passionate Gausevak. The numbers speak for him. He has saved over 10,000 abandoned cows to date through his initiative, Hindrise Gau Sanvardhan Aashram. His commitment to cow protection led to the formation of Rashtriya Gau Sevak Sangh (RGSS), with its focus on Aastha se Arthvyavastha and Gaumoolya se Rozgar Tak.
Rashtriya Gau Sevak Sangh promotes indigenous desi cow breeds such as Gir, Sahiwal, Gangatiri, Bachaur, Rathi, Tharparkar, Kankrej, etc. He advocates for Gau-Aadharit Arthvyavastha, Gau-Sahitya Inclusion in School Curricula, Gobar Kranti (Brown Revolution 2.0) and Gaushala development. He rescued cows during the devastating floods in 2023 in Noida.
In addition to his emphasis on cow welfare, he has been a guardian to the elderly, as over 1200 senior citizens have benefited from the Vriddhjan Pension Yojana. Under Mission Rozgar, he launched Job 10 Portal to empower youth through job opportunities.
Narendra Kumar- Master Blaster of Humanitarian Works
2025 is turning out to be a monumental year for Narendra Kumar. On April 16, he inaugurated the Maa Janki Library in Sitamarhi to develop a reading culture among rural youth. On June 15, 2025, he, along with other key members of RGSS, Venugopal Naidu Puvvada, Bharat Singh Rajpurohit, and Rohit Bisht, embarked on the Gau Rashtra Yatra, a 61-day, 10,000+ Km journey across India, centred around Gau-revolution and rural entrepreneurship.
Technologically forward, Narendra Kumar launched the Seva Sankalp App, a public utility initiative of Aatmnirbhar Sena to reduce the gap between citizens and their elected representatives. Currently, his tech stars are working on the Gaumitra App under RGSS, and one disaster response management app under Hindrise is in the pipeline. With a vision to establish over 100 Gaushalas in the next 5 years, Narendra Kumar is an inspiration. He is the master blaster of humanitarian works in India.
On his birthday today, the country salutes his dedication to service, sustainability, cows, and Aatmnirbharta.
