Drawing on their shared values, Canada’s Pacific Link College (PLC) and India’s MAEER’s MIT Arts, Commerce & Science College (MITACSC) in Alandi, Pune, have signed a landmark partnership agreement. This collaboration aims to tackle the growing industry skill gap and foster shared learning opportunities between the two institutions.
Expanding Global Collaborations with Pacific Link College
Pacific Link College is broadening its spectrum of partnerships, embracing the role of universities as global catalysts.
PLC President Tarun Khullar highlighted from Vancouver: “We believe universities must collaborate with diverse sectors and geographies to enhance global relevance and cultivate global citizens and leaders.”

Building on a Global Network
Following a recent collaboration with the University of Dagupan in the Philippines, this partnership with MITACSC further strengthens PLC’s commitment to expanding its global network.
Enhancing Student Learning and Exposure
Dr. BB Waphare, Principal of MITACSC, emphasized the importance of international exposure for students to meet the increasing demand for skill-based learning. MITACSC aims to provide its students with valuable global perspectives and practical experiences through such collaborations.

“The visit by PLC officials to MIT India is part of an effort to establish partnerships that go beyond student mobility. We are exploring joint conferences, curriculum sharing, dual certifications, and collaborative research projects.”
Future Initiatives and Immersion Programs
Paresh Patil, CEO of Study in Overseas, who played a pivotal role in facilitating this partnership, mentioned the development of a three-week international immersion tour program for MIT students, offering them an in-depth understanding of global educational and professional environments.
