2023 Bakrid Bank Holiday: On June 28, the day of Eid Ul Azha, banks in Kerala, Maharashtra, and Jammu and Kashmir will all be closed.
For Bakr Eid, also known as Eid-Al-Adha, on June 28, banks will be closed in a number of states. On June 29, there will not be any financial activities in various states.
The following cities will be closed on June 28 in observance of Bakr or Eid-Al-Adha: Belapur, Jammu, Kochi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Srinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram.
For Bakr Eid or Eid al-Adha, the following cities will be closed on June 29: New Delhi, Srinagar, Chandigarh, Imphal, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Agartala, Bengaluru, Aizawl, Panaji, Patna, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Ranchi, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Shillong, Shimla, Bhopal, Guwahati, Kanpur.
Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holidays, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts are the three categories under which holidays are classified by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
July 2023 will have bank holidays.
Banks in the public and private sectors will be closed for 15 days in July. For Muharram, Guru Hargobind Ji’s birthday, Ashoora, and Ker Pooja, banks will be closed.
