Reports have come in that the landslide has caused a traffic bottleneck that is at least 15 km long near 7 Mile in Mandi, where authorities are working diligently to clear the debris from the Chandigarh-Manali route.
Details indicate that there are no hotels in the region and that it is unclear when the wait will end.
The Chandigarh-Manali highway, or National Highway-21, had its routes closed earlier on Sunday due to flash floods and landslides brought on by heavy rain.
The Mandi administration’s authorities have stated that explosives are being utilized to blast large rocks that are obstructing roads on the stretch while work is being done to clear the debris.
In addition, until the route is opened, commuters have been urged not to head toward Mandi.
