The Congress unveiled the logo for its upcoming ‘ Hath Se Hath Jodo ‘ campaign on Saturday, as well as an eight-page charge sheet against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for door-to-door distribution during the campaign.
In introducing the logo, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh stated that while the Bharat Jodo Yatra is an ideological movement, the Haath Se Haath Jodo campaign is a door-to-door electoral campaign to highlight the Modi government’s failures and carries the Yatra’s message to every Indian.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress general secretary, will kick off the ‘Hath Se Hath Jodo’ campaign, which will be organized in three phases: the first at the village and block levels, the second at the district level, and the third at the state level.
“The Hath se Hath Jodo campaign will take direct aim at the PM Modi government’s failure and is strictly a political campaign. Hath se Hath Jodo may have a second or third phase, but for now, our goal is to distribute the charge sheet against the BJP, as well as Rahul Gandhi’s letter, from door to door,” Ramesh said at a press conference.
“Sure, the Yatra will end on January 30, but its spirit will live on through the Hath se Hath Jodo campaign,” said AICC general secretary K C Venugopal, who was also present at the Hath se Hath Jodo symbol launch.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra is going to be completed, with the padayatra (foot march) scheduled to end on January 29. The Yatra, on the other hand, will conclude on January 30. Rahul Gandhi will hoist the national flag at the Congress headquarters in Jammu and Kashmir, and party workers will do the same in district offices across India. On the same day, a public meeting will be held at Srinagar’s Shere Punjab stadium.
“After 130 days of this historic program (Bharat Jodo Yatra)), the Congress party got enough input from the people of the country. During the march, thousands of people interacted with Rahul Gandhi, sharing their anguish and suffering as a result of the PM Modi government’s misrule. We issued a charge sheet against the Modi government at the Centre today, and if necessary, the PCC offices will issue a similar charge sheet against the BJP for atrocities committed in each state as part of the Hath se Hath Jodo campaign. We conducted a real-world impact study on the country’s situation as a result of the central government’s bad policies,” Venugopal explained.
