About Manya Harsha
Manya Harsha is a young Nature Themed Author, Poet, and Illustrator of Five books. This Young Author of India started writing at a very young age of four and she believes in “Practice before you Preach”, at the young age of 8. Manya being a Nature themed author has always thrown light on the current Ecological crisis through her writings.
What are some greatest milestones in her life journey?
She has so far written, five books, three in English and two in Kannada. Manya has acquired many titles which reflect her writing skills. She has also been awarded the title ‘Grandmaster’ by the Asia Book of Records for her poetry book “NATURE OUR FUTURE” published in June 2019 by Raindrops Publishers. She is also honored with the title YOUNGEST POET OF INDIA, from Vajra Book of Records, World Records India, Golden Book of Records, India Book of Records, and Asia Book of Records.
Manyas book” NEERINA PUTANI SAMRAKSHAKARU”, the Kannada version of The Water HEROES, raised her to the honor of being the YOUNGEST KANNADA AUTHOR at the age of 9.7 yrs. Manya has been honored by the INDIA BOOK OF RECORDS, EXCLUSIVE WORLD RECORDS, and KARNATAKA ACHIEVERS BOOK OF RECORDS. Manya is the winner of The FIREBOX BOOK AWARDS 2021. She has been honored with the title “YOUNGEST AUTHOR OF THE YEAR 2021”, for her book THE WATER HEROES. Various leading media have featured her in their news and blogs about her extraordinary writing skills.
What is the learning from the challenges she has faced and how did she overcome them?
Initially, when she came up with the idea of publishing her poems in a book, many felt that the poems written by a 6-year-old don’t deserve to be published. But with the support of her dearest parents, the source of her inspiration, her teacher Mrs. Lakshmi, they published her first book in 2019. After that, there was no turning back.

Calling out for the #GREENINDIACLEANINDIA CAMPAIGN, Manya celebrated 75 years of Independence by distributing 75 plant saplings to people from various sectors. From the Civil Police Officers of JP Nagar police station to the Bengaluru Jayanagar division Traffic Police, BMTC Bus Drivers and Conductors at the Sanjay Gandhi Bus Depot 4th T block Jayanagar, the Bengaluru Auto drivers and the Sustainable Entrepreneurs, Manya was successful in spreading her message of a #GreenIndiaCleanIndia with her saplings and the Tricolor flag with the support of her parents. Wherever she went, she never missed requesting people to switch to Green for a Sustainable Future.
