Dr. Namita Laxmi Jagaddeb, by profession, is a lecturer in English serving at Mahima Degree College, Bijapali, Dist- Jharsuguda, Odisha. By passion, She is a bilingual poet and translator in Odia and English, an essayist, and a social activist in recognition of which, She has been honored with several national and international awards, the latest being the “100 Influential Indians” Award 2022 by FOX STORY INDIA.

By journey her life, She means her academic and literary journey in which her first milestone is the first international recognition She received in 2018 from the World Nations Writers’ Union, Kazakhstan honoring me with “TEMIRQAZYQ- “The Best Poet of the World, 2018”, “World Laureate in Literature, 2018”. The second is the publication of her book of translation titled “MY LOVE, MY SEASONS” in 2019 by Black Eagle Books, Dublin, OH, USA. The third significant event would be “Dr. Hannan Awwad Peace Award”, by the Palestine Centre of International Pen, Palestine, She received it in 2019. The fourth milepost in her journey is her editing of an anthology of English poetry titled “INTIMATE WHISPERS” published by ESN Publications, Tamilnadu as part of World Book of Records, London. The latest is the “100 Influential Indians”, 2022, which FOX STORY INDIA has selected me to award.
What is the learning from the challenges Dr.Namita Laxmi Jagaddeb has faced and how did she overcome them?
Challenges are many, particularly for a woman striving to rise against the odds of a highly competitive society like ours, partly modern and partly traditional. However, on her part, She has not virtually faced any such challenges so far in her academic and literary life. Her success and smoothness of journey, She believes, are due to her sincerity of purpose, willpower, and faith in the goodness of people around her, which paid off me well.

Essentially, She lives by her principles. She has risen and empowered herself in course of my journey of life through sheer willpower and singleness of purpose. Thus, in the light of her own experience, She would advise others, particularly, the youth to dream, and collect the strength to pursue the dream through undivided aim and relentless perseverance. Like me, they should repose faith in God and believe in charity and the basic goodness of their fellowmen.
