Humanaro Foundation
Under the Shree Vasundhara Initiative of Humanaro Foundation, an Environmental Awareness Seminar and Plantation Drive was successfully organized at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Bailey Road, Patna. The program aimed to spread awareness among students about environmental conservation, sustainable living, and the importance of tree plantation in combating climate change.
As part of the initiative, a plantation drive was conducted within the school premises where students, teachers, and members of Humanaro Foundation actively participated. The event witnessed enthusiastic involvement from students who pledged to nurture and protect the planted saplings.
The program was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Mayor of Patna, Smt. Seeta Sahu. The event was graced by Shri Prabhat Kumar Gupta, PCCF & HoFF, who attended as the Chief Guest. Shri Zahid Hussain, Special Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry Department, Government of Bihar, and Shri Rajiv Kumar, DFO, Patna Park Division, were present as Special Guests.
Shri Deep Narayan Singh and Shri Abdul Rahman Madni from ASG Eye Hospital were also present on the occasion. The distinguished guests shared valuable insights on nature conservation and sustainable development, emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility toward protecting the environment.
Samridhi Srivastav, State Head of Humanaro Foundation, stated that our environment is our greatest treasure. It provides us with clean air to breathe, fresh water to drink, and food to sustain our lives. However, today pollution, deforestation, and climate change are putting our planet at serious risk. She emphasized that if we do not act now, future generations will have to suffer the consequences.
School Principal Shri Mithilesh Singh urged the students to remain aware and responsible towards the environment. He highlighted the importance of environmental protection and encouraged everyone to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
The program was further supplemented by several speakers including Vice Principals Shri Rajiv Singh and Smt. Madhu kumari, Balram Kumar, Ranjay Kumar and Dr. Pooja Thakur, who shared their valuable insights and motivated the students to actively participate in environmental conservation efforts.
The event culminated in a series of environment-focused creative competitions where students showcased their creativity and passion, taking ownership of their green footprint and were rewarded for the same, motivating them to stay committed to environmental responsibility and strive for excellence.

The program was skillfully conducted by Vaidehi Jha, who efficiently anchored the event. Anamika, Megha Jha,Rishita jha, Niharika Roy, Shreya Raj, Akanksha Singh, Aditi Singh, Simple Kumari, and Naila Samreen played a crucial role in making this initiative a grand success through their active participation and dedicated efforts.
