The brand draws its inspiration from the iconic Monreale Cathedral in Palermo, Sicily—an architectural treasure built in 1267 and admired worldwide for its Arab-Norman charm.
From the outside, the Cathedral appears humble and understated. But once inside, its true magnificence unfolds: more than 6,340 square meters of Byzantine mosaics illuminate the interior, making it the largest mosaic collection of its kind in Italy. The blend of Byzantine artistry with Norman, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque influences creates a breathtaking harmony that has fascinated visitors for centuries.
Moved by the Cathedral’s history and cultural fusion, Tsavdaridis named his fragrance line Monreale to honor this remarkable coexistence of artistic traditions. Located near Palermo, in the golden valley known as Conca d’Oro, Monreale represents heritage, elegance, and the beauty of discovery—values reflected in every perfume the brand creates.
To capture this spirit, the brand’s launch campaign was filmed inside the Cathedral itself. The story follows two protagonists who enter the monument, guided by a mysterious beam of light into a sensory world of scent and emotion. Awakening later in a hotel room, they are left wondering whether their experience was real or a dream—a metaphor for the transformative power of perfume.
The Monreale collection includes over 20 exclusive fragrances, each presented in refined bottles available in two color lines: one for women and one for men. The women’s range features graceful scents like Velvet Plums, Grape Peony, Roses Musk, and Blackberry Magnolia. The men’s line offers bold, elegant notes through Rose Elixir, Night Sandalwood, Mineral Infusion, Game of Iris, Bergamot Blow, Vetyver Incense, and Honey Moon.
