Poet Sudip Chandra Halder Offers Pushpanjali
The grand celebrations of Navaratri and Durga Puja are currently underway across Bharat (India) with immense devotion and fervor. Observed by millions of Sanatan Hindu Dharma followers worldwide, this sacred festival has reached its Maha Ashtami—one of its most significant days. The holy city of Kashi (Varanasi), too, is immersed in devotion, witnessing vibrant festivities and spiritual observances.
As in previous years, the Bharat Sevashram Sangha in Kashi is organizing Durga Puja with great religious zeal and traditional rituals. Among the devotees present this year was Sudip Chandra Halder, an emerging poet and researcher who has already gained national attention for his literary contributions and has been honored with the Bharat Pratibha Samman award.
After offering Pushpanjali (floral tribute) on Maha Ashtami, Halder shared his reflections:
“Thousands of devotees have gathered here to offer Puspanjali at the feet of the Divine Mother, seeking Her blessings with hearts full of devotion and eyes filled with tears. Through heartfelt prayers, each one hopes to receive the grace of Jagat Janani Maa. May the Divine Mother bless all beings with peace and prosperity.”
He also offered personal prayers for the well-being, health, and spiritual upliftment of himself and his family.

Halder further shared that he intends to observe Navami (the ninth day) with Durga Saptashati recitation (Chandi Path) and deep spiritual engagement, in continued devotion to the Mata Durga. On Vijaya Dashami, he plans to dedicate his time to serving the underprivileged and needy, thereby embodying the spirit of selfless service.
Concluding his visit, he extended heartfelt greetings to all Bharatiya and Sanatan Hindu Dharma followers worldwide, wishing them joy, peace, and spiritual fulfillment during this Navaratri and Sharadiya Durga Utsav.
