Kolkata, September 20, 2025: As the city gears up for the arrival of Maa Durga, a special poetry exhibition was held at the Abanindranath Art Gallery, Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Kolkata, on Friday evening. Organized on the eve of Mahalaya, the event set the tone for the upcoming festive season with a spiritual and cultural celebration.
One of the standout features of the exhibition was the presentation of devotional poetry by Sudip Chandra Halder, a rising poet and researcher. His work, centered around the divine presence of Mata Durga, struck a powerful chord with the audience and received enthusiastic appreciation from literary enthusiasts and cultural figures alike.
Speaking at the event, Halder said, “Earth is prepared to welcome the divine Mother. The world awaits Her appearance [material], and the atmosphere everywhere is festive. At such a moment, an exhibition of this nature holds special relevance.”
He also thanked the organizers and visitors for their support, adding that such recognition encourages him to continue exploring devotional themes in his writing.
The event drew nearly Five Hundreds[500] guests and served as a reminder of the enduring bond between spirituality and the arts in Bengal’s rich cultural landscape.
