In a proud moment for the Bharatiya literary and academic community, emerging poet and legal scholar Sudip Chandra Halder has been conferred with the prestigious “Bharat Pratibha Samman – 2025.” The award ceremony, marked by elegance and reverence, took place on Wednesday afternoon at the historic Prime Ministers’ Museum, Tri Murti Marg in New Delhi.
Sudip Chandra Halder, currently engaged in advanced legal research at the Banaras Hindu University, was recognized for his impactful contributions to both literature and academia. Organized by the Bharat Pratibha Samman Council, the event witnessed the presence of several distinguished personalities.
Shri Anurag Thakur, former Union Minister and sitting Member of Parliament, presented the award as Chief Guest. He was joined by eminent dignitaries including Padma Shri awardee Professor (Dr.) Kamal Kumar Shethi and celebrated classical dancer Padma Shri Smt. Shovana Narayan, who attended as special guests.
A total of 25 accomplished individuals from diverse fields were honored during the ceremony, each receiving a beautifully crafted memento and citation—specially designed and inspired by the aesthetics of the Padma Shri award.
In his keynote address, Anurag Thakur praised the awardees, saying,
“Each recipient of the Bharat Pratibha Samman is a torchbearer of Bharat’s rising spirit. Recognizing authentic talent and selfless contribution is our government’s unwavering priority.”
He also highlighted the government’s efforts to honor grassroots heroes, citing the recent conferral of the Padma Shri on Dukhu Majhi.

Smt. Shovana Narayan, speaking with characteristic grace, remarked,
“An award like this is not just a recognition—it’s a reminder to reach higher and contribute deeper.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Kamal Kumar Shethi emphasized the importance of individual responsibility and urged the youth to engage more actively in social service and nation-building.
In a heartfelt media address following his felicitation, Sudip Chandra Halder expressed his gratitude:
“Bharat is on a journey of transformation, and I believe we’re steadily moving toward becoming the Vishwaguru. This recognition is not merely personal—it’s a symbol of shared duty and collective progress.”
He added,
