Event management in smaller cities has often been basic and unorganised. People usually depend on local decorators who lack modern design ideas and tools. In places like Malabar, wedding or corporate events often meant juggling five vendors, adjusting to delays, and compromising on quality. But slowly, people are expecting much more than that. They now demand neat arrangements, proper lighting, and smooth execution. That is where creative, design-first event companies are making a real difference.
Events today are not just about decoration. They are about emotion, storytelling, and precision. For a long time, families and companies in Malabar struggled to find all these elements in one place. Companies like Talkio Talkies are trying to professionalize event management by addressing these needs.
Jesna M is the CEO and founder of Talkio Talkies. She understood this problem from ground level. She leveraged her past experience in teaching to grow in this field. The company offers end-to-end solutions in design, logistics, and execution. This way, it is trying to bridge a long-standing gap in structured event planning in Tier-2 cities. Jesna M got her training in an event company based in Cochin. The founder got hands-on experience with large-scale planning, creative execution, and client management.
With industry exposure in Cochin, the founding team brought forward the mission of setting new standards for event planning in the Malabar region. Talkio Talkies was conceptualised as a one-stop solution for modern event requirements in under-served cities. It handles everything from creative design to logistics and execution.
Starting something new is never simple. The company was founded in 2024 with an initial capital of only ₹6 lakh. The company entered a competitive and largely unorganised market. Speaking fluent English during client meetings was initially a challenge. Being a woman in a male-dominated space added extra pressure. The team focused to communicate ideas clearly, plan with structure, and lead teams with care.
In a world filled with flashy ads, where people usually try conventional advertisement. The company took a different route. It focused on sharing behind-the-scenes moments—late-night sewing, morning setups, last-minute coordination. This built trust and transparency with clients. Her transparency attracted serious attention. Notably, the firm has executed projects for clients such as HDFC Bank, Lulu Mall, and created a signature stage design for performer Mohena Kumari.
“People don’t just remember how your event looked—they remember how it made them feel.” – Jesna M
Talkio Talkies success is a collaborative effort of team. They had silent supporters, trusted team members like vishnu, Sanoop Sajid and Shamseer. The team operates on core values of transparency, teamwork, and respect. This culture creates a motivated and loyal workplace.
“Every good review is shared in the team group. We celebrate small wins, and profits are shared fairly. Compensatory leaves are given for extra hours—we want our team to know that life outside work matters too,” Jesna says.
The company aims to expand operations to Bangalore by 2027. Plans are also underway to convert its Calicut studio into a training centre. It will be focused on empowering young women aspiring to join the events industry.

“You don’t have to know it all. You just need to start, show up every day, and keep learning.” – Jesna M
