Dr. Saarthak Bakshi’s journey started with a strong educational background. In 2009, he completed his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science from the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology University (JIITU), Noida. In 2017, he pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Indian School of Business (ISB).
Additionally, during his early career, Dr. Bakshi worked as a Software Engineer at Infosys and later as an IT Risk and Assurance Analyst at Ernst & Young. His knowledge of the corporate world helped him to know about business operations and management.
However, Dr. Bakshi wanted to do something that really made a difference. Because of this, he decided to move into healthcare. In 2012, he started RISAA IVF with his mother, Dr. Rita Bakshi. Together, they wanted to help couples who were having issues to have a baby by giving them proper fertility care.
Along with running RISAA IVF, Dr. Bakshi also became a strong supporter of new ideas. He has invested in more than 30 startups in different areas like healthtech, edtech, consumer brands, and social innovation. A Turning Point: Entering Healthcare
Dr. Saarthak Bakshi’s journey into healthcare started after his experiences in the corporate world. Initially, he worked at companies like Infosys and Ernst & Young. In 2012, Dr. Saarthak Bakshi co-founded RISAA IVF with his mother, Dr. Rita Bakshi. Dr. Rita brought over 35 years of medical experience in fertility and Dr. Saarthak added a modern and strategic approach to build the brand and expand its reach.
He helped to turn one IVF clinic into a large chain with more than 14 centres across India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. Dr. Bakshi worked to make IVF treatment more organized and affordable. He focused on using technology to improve patient care and build a strong team of doctors, embryologists, and staff.
He also introduced new ideas like free IVF for underprivileged couples, 0% EMI options for treatment, and digital tools to track progress.
