Supratim Akaash Paul is a renowned celebrity dermatologist, cosmetologist, wellness expert and a successful entrepreneur from Kolkata who has been the force behind many successful ventures globally. Supratim Akaash Paul, CEO of Dr. Paul’s Group of Companies started his journey two decades back and has attained the prestigious title of being Kolkata’s Youth Icon.

Excerpts from a chat with Supratim Akaash Paul:

Tell us something about your journey

I have always lived life on my own terms and I did not let failures ever deter me. The “basketball theory” has always worked for me – the harder you fall, the higher you bounce. Moreover, I cannot deny that Kolkata has given me alot. The love and respect I get worldwide and especially in my hometown Kolkata is over whelming. The journey was not easy, but determination, dedication and devotion to my craft have brought my company to this stature.

What is the future plan for your brand?

I have quite a few plans coming up. After taking my derma innovations to Dubai, Singapore, California; I am currently concentrating in Spain. As for my pharmaceutical chain; we’ll be clocking hundred retail stores across Eastern India. Besides that Dr. Paul’s Group of Companies is a diversified entity with eleven verticals and we are trying to develop each and every segment very slowly but steadily. Focus in the next couple of years is primarily expanding internationally.

Braun with brains is a rare combination. What is the secret of your good looks especially with such huge responsibilities in hand?

With all humility; thank you for the compliment. Well I practice what I preach. I believe charity begins at home, so what works for me, works for all my clients. Yes responsibilities are huge but gifting a dedicated regime to oneself is extremely important garnished with discipline and consistency in every segment. However, I have a very committed and enthusiastic team to share the magnitude of my dream so that makes Dr. Paul’s Group of Companies a happy and successful space.

Dr. Paul you are the most sought after celebrity dermatologist and integrative and lifestyle medicine expert of Bollywood and Hollywood. How do you handle the tantrums of all the actors you work with all over the world?

(Laughs) Tantrums? Not at all. They are all lovely people. Due to the confidentiality clause I very particularly maintain, I will not be able to give you the names, but you will be surprised if you happen to bump into any of the celebrities in any of my clinics. They are extremely obedient to me and follow each of my advice meticulously and the end result is for all of you to witness on screen. I must say, I have been very lucky to have never faced any starry tantrums. Infact, they have to bear with me as I am a very hard taskmaster and I expect all my patients to be dedicated.

You inspire people across all ages. Who inspires you?

Life inspires me, work inspires me and the smiles I bring to people’s faces professionally and personally inspires me.
