A Life of Inspiration: The Son of Soil Overcame All Obstacles to Become a Professor
Hailing from an unknown small village, Gandharain, in the Madhubani district of Bihar, Dr. Jha’s journey to rise above all obstacles and become successful is worth reading. He belonged to a middle-class farmer family, with his father working as a farmer and his mother as a homemaker. Dr. Jha attended a school in his village and later pursued his Intermediate and joined BA (Hons.) in Philosophy from C.M. College, Darbhanga, Bihar. Subsequently, he earned a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from Central University, Wardha (Maharashtra).
Furthering his academic pursuits, he completed an M.Phil. in Media Studies from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal, which is one of the pioneer institutes of Journalism and Mass Communication. Following the completion of his M.Phil., he joined a media college in Bhopal as a Guest Faculty. Despite facing challenges, he pursued a Ph.D. in Mass Communication and Journalism at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (a Central University), Lucknow.
Coming from a background with limited facilities, Dr. Jha achieved success step by step. He revealed that he had to deal with his underprivileged background and studied in Hindi Medium. Despite facing repeated failures that left him dejected, he did not lose his morale and advises all aspirants to be consistent and keep working hard.
