During the launch of Mumbai FC’s jersey, Ranbir was asked who he would never want to play against in a football match. He said in a talk with Puma India, “I think I would choose my wife Alia. She’s very competitive. If I win against her, she’ll keep reminding me about it for a long time and be upset with me. So, I think it’s better to avoid playing with her.”
When the interviewer suggested that Alia might celebrate even more if she beats Ranbir, he replied, “Exactly. Either way, I’m in trouble.”
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia started dating while they were working together on the romantic fantasy movie “Brahmastra,” directed by Ayan Mukerji. The movie did well at the box office last year. They got married in April of the same year and had a baby girl named Raha later on. They announced their daughter’s name by showing a small football jersey with the number ‘8.’ The number 8 is considered lucky for both of them.
Recently, Ranbir Kapoor had a good time with the release of his romantic comedy movie “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar,” directed by Luv Ranjan and co-starring Shraddha Kapoor. Now, he is getting ready for the release of his next movie called “Animal,” directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol. The movie was initially planned to be released on August 11, during the Independence Day extended weekend, but it got delayed until December 1 because the visual effects work took longer than expected.
Alia is also getting ready for two movie releases in the next few weeks. The first one is her second collaboration with director Karan Johar for a romantic comedy called “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” where she acts alongside Ranveer Singh. She is also going to make her debut in an international movie called “Heart of Stone,” an action thriller that also stars Gal Gadot. It will be available on Netflix starting from August 11.
