Rahul Roy, well-known for his part in the musical blockbuster Aashiqui from 1990, experienced a brain hemorrhage in 2020 and was subsequently taken to the Nanavati Hospital’s acute care unit for medical care. In a recent interview, the actor talked about his stay in the hospital and said that none of his Bollywood friends, including Mahesh Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, Manisha Koirala, Raveena Tandon, or Karisma Kapoor, visited him or called him while he was there.
Rahul Roy, was specifically asked if Mahesh Bhatt, the director of Aashiqui, or his daughter Pooja had phoned to check on him during an interview with Siddharth Kannan. No, but it’s alright, he added. Nobody from his house also called, his sister Priyanka, who was also present, stated. He contacted me as his twin brother was checking in with me. It’s okay though. His family hasn’t called or gotten in touch with him in three and a half years. We can’t expect much from the stars when his own brother hasn’t contacted, after all.
Priyanka recalled how Salman Khan stepped up and provided financial support, saying, “Salman did not know about his circumstances. But he called after learning the news. Rahul continued, “Salman cleared the hospital’s outstanding bill in February. When he contacted to see if he could help, he did so. I’m grateful to him a lot. He never turned it become news, Priyanka remarked. I realized this man (Salman) is a diamond, thus there is no ceremony or award that you need to publicize.
Priyanka and Rahul also claimed that if the movie’s director, Nitin Gupta, had prioritized Rahul’s health, the brain stroke might have been prevented. Other actors who supported and assisted them during the situation were also acknowledged by Priyanka. There were one or two actors that came to meet, according to Priyanka. Aditi Govitrikar was a single among them. Additionally, Suchitra Pillai arrived and assisted him. Rahul claimed that his financial situation has much improved but added, “I need job. I’ll be content if I get a job.
Priyanka recalled and mentioned that she didn’t have enough money when they learned the news. Even though the hospital had initially requested Rs. 1 lakh for the therapy, they only had Rs. 25,000. They said that Salman paid a bill totaling more than Rs 2 lakh, and they said they wanted to repay him.
One of the people who contacted Priyanka and her husband and expressed a wish to meet Rahul was someone they knew. But when this person came, he brought with him, surprisingly, journalists. But Priyanka was able to set up a WhatsApp video call for them. Unauthorized screenshots were taken by the person during the video chat. “He was wired up,” she remarked. His second day, of course, was that day.
