The ICC T20 World Cup in 2007, the ICC ODI World Cup in 2011, and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013 were won by India under Dhoni’s leadership. Fans flocked to the stadium in droves to catch a glimpse of “MS Dhoni” during the recently finished IPL season.

Dhoni was a crucial player of the Chennai Super Kings side that captured back-to-back Indian Premier League titles in 2010 and 2011. Additionally, he was chosen as the franchise’s IPL captain for the 2012 and 2013 seasons. He joined Australian cricket icon Ricky Ponting’s squad, the Deccan Chargers, in the first IPL season, becoming the first Indian to be recruited by an international Twenty20 franchise.
MS Dhoni became the first player in Indian Premier League history to amass 500 runs and 100 wickets. For his exceptional exploits, he has won numerous honors, including one of Wisden’s five Cricketers of the Year in 2010.
