After enduring weeks of harsh criticism online, Pooja Bhatt appears to have finally gained some supporters. Initially, she began her journey in the Bigg Boss OTT 2 house on the wrong foot, displaying a sense of superiority and a refusal to consider others’ perspectives. However, in the most recent episode, she seemed to have redeemed herself.
During Friday’s episode, Pooja Bhatt demonstrated her ability to provide constructive feedback, even to her friends, on multiple occasions. Following a heated exchange of words between Bebika Dhurve and Manisha Rani in the kitchen, Bebika became excessively mean, even resorting to mocking Manisha’s accent. Despite their initial friendship on the show, the two women had now become sworn enemies, seizing any opportunity to trade insults. It was expected that Pooja Bhatt would once again support Bebika, as she had done in the past. However, she pleasantly surprised everyone by telling Bebika that her behaviour was unnecessarily nasty.
Pooja pointed out to Bebika how Manisha was genuinely hurt and criticized her for saying that she would harm her face. Not only did Pooja Bhatt address Manisha’s concerns, but she also informed Bebika that her comments about Jiya Shankar were inappropriate (Bebika had mentioned that she was happily preparing food for Jiya, who was about to leave the show). This came as an even greater surprise because Pooja had previously shown little support for Jiya when she was targeted by her and Palak Purswani in the kitchen during the previous week.
While Pooja Bhatt attempted to make Bebika aware of her wrongdoings, she did not declare that she would end their friendship, unlike what could be said about Manisha. Pooja praised Bebika’s innocent heart, which was overshadowed by her anger, as she tried to console her. Nevertheless, it was understandable if anyone wanted to distance themselves from Bebika after spending two weeks with her.
Later in the episode, after witnessing a series of long kisses, Pooja demonstrated her intolerance for misbehaviour. When Jad Hadid and Akanksha Puri exchanged a long kiss as part of a dare during a task, Pooja overheard Jad telling Avinash Sachdeva that Akanksha was a “bad kisser.” Pooja immediately called him out for gossiping about a woman he had just kissed, labelling him as disrespectful. Others agreed that his behaviour was excessively mean. While Pooja may not have the warmest feelings towards Akanksha, she certainly knows how to distinguish right from wrong. Later that night, when Jad made the same remark to Jiya and Avinash, they seemed less bothered by his rude opinions.
To be honest, when a person of Pooja’s popularity enters Bigg Boss, one wouldn’t expect them to take such an active role as she has on the show. She wholeheartedly engages in activities, disputes, and conversations. With Abhishek Malhan adopting a more passive approach, Pooja might emerge as one of the stronger contenders for the top position.
