The Go First facilities in Mumbai and Delhi will be the subject of a special audit by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
According to a senior DGCA official, the regulator has scheduled to undertake a special audit of the Go First facilities at these two locations following a preliminary evaluation of the resumption plan filed by the Resolution Professional (RP) for Go First on June 28, 2023.
“The special audit to be conducted from July 4th to July 6th 2023 shall be focused on the safety-related aspects and continued compliance of the requirements to hold an Air Operator Certificate, as well as on physical verification of the arrangements made for the resumption of flight operations.”
Early in May, the airline operator filed for voluntary bankruptcy with the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), blaming delays on an engine manufacturer with headquarters in the US for its failure to fulfil obligations on time, which resulted in the forced grounding of a portion of its fleet.
