The Bharatiya Janata Party moved the Election Commission on Monday against former Congress president Sonia Gandhi ‘s remarks on ‘Karnataka’s sovereignty,’ which sparked a massive political storm in the run-up to the Karnataka assembly election.
The BJP sent a delegation to the poll panel office in the national capital. “She (Sonia Gandhi) used the word sovereignty on purpose.” The Congress manifesto is the agenda of the ‘Tukde-Tukde’ gang, which is why they use such words. “We are hopeful that the EC will take action against this anti-national act,” Union Minister Bhupender Yadav told reporters.
“Today we gave a complaint against Sonia Gandhi to the Election Commission,” Union minister Shobha Karandlaje said of the former Congress president. She delivered a speech in Hubbali regarding Karnataka’s sovereignty. We use sovereignty to benefit the country. She is the leader of the ‘Tukde-Tukde’ gang. We demanded that an FIR be filed against her.”
Sonia Gandhi spoke at a rally in Karnataka’s poll-bound Hubbali district on Saturday. “CPP Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi ji sends a strong message to 6.5 crores Kannadigas: “The Congress will not allow anyone to pose a threat to Karnataka’s reputation, sovereignty, or integrity,” the Congress official Twitter handle stated.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders launched an attack on the grand old party in response to the remark.
“Not only Karnataka, but I want to tell the entire country with great sadness that in this election, Congress’s’shahi parivar’ yesterday came to Karnataka and said that they want to protect Karnataka’s’sovereignty,'” the prime minister said at a rally on Sunday.
What does it mean? Do you know what it means? When a country achieves independence, it is referred to as a sovereign country. “The meaning of what Congress is saying is that the Congress believes Karnataka is separate from India,” he had stated.
