Why Amritpal Singh got Arrested ?
A complaint made by one Barinder Singh, a resident of Salempur hamlet in Chamkaur Sahib, Rupnagar district, led to the filing of the FIR on Thursday night.
Barinder Singh said in his statement that he was brutally assaulted by Amritpal and his men on Wednesday, according to Ajnala DSP Sanjeev Kumar.
Kumar told mediapersons that apart from Amritpal and five of his associates, 25 unidentified people have been booked as well. No arrests have been made so far in the case, he added.
“Barinder has claimed in his statement that he went to the Damdami Taksal at Ajnala on Wednesday with his buddies to take part in an ongoing Samagam (meeting).
First, he got a call from some individuals asking to speak with him about the various issues he had with Amritpal Singh.
