The much-anticipated third installment of the Hera Pheri franchise begins filming on Tuesday, with actors Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal reportedly returning to reprise their roles. The film is said to be directed by Farhad Samji. Previously, it was reported that Kartik Aaryan would take over the franchise. Fans on social media have expressed their joy at the reunion of the original trio. Many Akshay fans predicted that the comedy film would go on to break box office records.
In 2000, the first movie in the series was released. Tabu, Om Puri, and Gulshan Grover were also featured in the classic comedy. Hera Pheri was written by Neera Vora and directed by Priyadarshan. The Hindi movie is a remake of Ramji Rao Speaking in Malayalam (1989). The 2006 sequel, Phir Hera Pheri, featured Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh once more. The third movie had been directed by the screenwriter Neeraj, but after his tragic death in 2017, it was put on hold for a while.
Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh started filming the movie in Mumbai on Tuesday, as per reports. The report added that Hera Pheri 3 would be directed by Farhad rather than Anees Bazmee. In November of the previous year, Akshay made it known that he wouldn’t be appearing in Hera Pheri 3. Suniel Shetty, his co-star, had promised to make an effort to return as well.
Excited fans took to Twitter to express their joy at the film’s completion; some even shared memes and funny videos. Aside from comments about the original cast’s return, Twitter predicted that the film would break box office records. As one fan put it, “If made properly, HeraPheri3 can demolish any record. And opening will break everything (opening will break everything).” “Hera Pheri 3 will shatter all existing records (fire emojis),” another fan wrote.
“Get ready to witness the biggest comeback of all time… Akshay Kumar’s Hera Pheri 3,” said another Akshay fan. The actor had a disappointing 2022, with most of his films, including Bachchan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, and Ram Setu, failing to perform well at the box office.
