Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched two Vande Bharat trains on Friday, one between Mumbai and Solapur and the other between Mumbai and Shirdi. The ceremony was held in Mumbai, and attendees included Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
“For the first time, two Vande Bharat trains were launched. They’ll link financial hubs like Mumbai and Pune to places of worship. “It will benefit students and office workers, farmers, and devotees,” the prime minister said.
“The Vande Bharat train is a magnificent representation of modern India. It reflects India’s speed and scale. You can see how quickly the country is launching Vande Bharat. “Ten trains have been launched,” he added.
“A gift of two Vande Bharat, both from the historic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. “Work has begun to make this an international level terminus,” Vaishnaw was quoted as saying by ANI.
According to Shinde, this is the first time Maharashtra has received 13500 crores for railways. “A few people have asked what Maharashtra received in the budget. They, however, did not read. According to the Railway Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, Maharashtra has never received $13,500 million for the railway. This sum has been set aside for the railway for the first time.

Mumbai-Solapur Vande Bharat: This train connects Mumbai and Solapur six days a week, except Wednesday. The train departs at 4:05 p.m. from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) and arrives in Solapur at 10:40 p.m. During its six-hour and 35-minute journey, the train stops at Dadar, Kalyan, Pune, and Kurduvadi. A chair car ticket costs 1,000 without catering and 1,300 with catering. The executive chair car ticket costs 2,015 without catering and 2,365 with catering.
Vande Bharat Mumbai-Shirdi route: This Vande Bharat train runs between Mumbai Central Station and Sainagar Shirdi, covering the distance in five hours and twenty minutes. The train leaves at 6.20 a.m. and arrives in Shirdi at 11.40 a.m. The train stops at the stations of Dadar, Thane, and Nashik Roads. Except for Tuesday, the Vande Bharat train runs six days a week. The chair car ticket costs 840 without catering and 965 without catering. The cost of the executive chair car ticket is 1,670 without food and 1,840 with food.
