Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, will have its trailer released on January 10. Yash Raj Films – the production house backing Pathaan – reportedly always planned to release the trailer two weeks before the film’s release as part of a ‘clear strategy’ to fan the ‘frenzy around Pathaan’. This follows rumors that the film’s title was changed in response to criticism after the release of the film’s first song, Besharam Rang, which featured Deepika in an orange swimsuit. Pathaan’s creators were recently asked to implement ‘changes’ in the film, including its songs, according to Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairperson Prasoon Joshi.
Taran Adarsh, a film critic, and trade analyst have now confirmed that Pathaan’s title will not be changed and that the action film’s trailer will be released soon after a delay. On Wednesday, he tweeted, “Pathaan trailer on 10 Jan 2023… Pathaan [no title change] will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu theaters on January 25, 2023.”

Pathaan has been making headlines and facing boycott calls since the December 12 release of its song Besharam Rang, which features Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh. A scene in the song depicts Deepika wearing an orange swimsuit while dancing on the beach with Shah Rukh, which has been criticized by some. Pathaan has been targeted by politicians as well as celebrities such as Vivek Agnihotri. According to Prasoon Joshi, the CBFC recently requested that the film’s producer, Yash Raj Films, submit a revised version of the action film in accordance with board guidelines.
Pathaan is no longer the title of the Shah Rukh Khan film, according to film critic Kamaal Rashid Khan, also known as KRK, who took to Twitter recently. He also stated that Deepika’s orange swimsuit in the Besharam Rang music video would be changed or cut. KRK tweeted on January 3rd, “It confirms that the Pathaan title is no longer available. Orange bikini is also no longer available. However, the film’s producers have decided to delay its release. The official announcement could be made today or tomorrow.” Previously, on January 2, he tweeted, “Pathaan’s trailer was not released today, proving what I said a few days ago was correct.
