In response to Suhail Sameer’s resignation as CEO of BharatPe, its co-founder and former MD Ashneer Grover, who resigned in March last year, took to Twitter to share a poem in which he referred to Sameer as ‘nalla’ and said the founder, Shashvat Nakarni, should man up and take care of the business.’
“A poem for the beginning of 2023: Chala Gaya Suhail Sameer – he was a nalla!” Why don’t you man up and sambhalo the Galla, Shashvat?!’ For my English-speaking colleagues: 1) Nalla is incompetent and incapable, and 2) Galla is in charge of business and affairs,” tweeted Grover, who had a falling out with Sameer.
Grover, the most popular shark from the first season of Shark Tank India, has been very active on Twitter in recent days. The 40-year-old, who was not rehired for the second season, which began on January 2, released an ‘autobiography’ in December last year, titled ‘Doglapan: The Hard Truth About Life And Start-Ups.
Meanwhile, BharatPe announced on Tuesday that Suhail has resigned from his position as a strategic advisor, effective January 7. Nalin Negin, the fintech company’s current CFO, will serve as interim CEO.
