However, this Kerala woman decided to drive her SUV over 2000 kilometers from Kerala to Qatar to watch the FIFA World Cup.
Najira Noushad, a 33-year-old homemaker from Kerala, drove 2973 kilometers to Qatar in her Mahindra Thar because she did not want to fly like others. She drove to Mumbai via Coimbatore, from where she took a ship to Oman. She then traveled through the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.
Najira is touring with her five children. She drove about 600 kilometers per day, starting at 6 a.m. on most days. According to The New Indian Express, this Kerala woman is using her trip to spread the message of “safety for women to travel anywhere in the world.” She aims to inspire other women to travel without being afraid of anything.
