Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s ‘Ravan’ remark on Thursday, saying there is a competition within the party to see who can abuse Modi the most. “The competition is on who can abuse Modi the most, who can deliver the most stinging attack,” PM Modi said while addressing a public meeting in Gujarat’s Kalol for the second phase of the election on December 5, while the first phase is still underway.
PM Modi also alluded to Congress leader Madhusudan Mistry’s remark about PM Modi’s ‘aukaat’ during his speech. “Then respected Kharge ji compared me to Ravana,” PM Modi said, launching a stinging attack on the Congress.
“Some call me a demon, others a cockroach,” PM Modi said.
“Those who never believed in the existence of Lord Ram have now brought in (demon king) ‘Ravan’ from the Ramayana. And I am surprised they never expressed repentance, let alone apologized, after using such derogatory language toward me “said the Prime Minister.
Mallikarjun Kharge, speaking at a rally in Gujarat on Tuesday, asked if PM Modi has 100 heads because he is the face of all elections, whether civic or assembly. “PM Modi is always bragging about himself. ‘Do not look at anyone; just vote for Modi.’ How many times must we look at you? We need to see you in the corporation election, MLA election, and MP election. Do you have 100 different expressions like Ravan? What exactly is it?” Kharge said, causing a commotion.
