Raveena Tandon reacted to Richa Chadha’s tweet regarding the conflict in Galwan Valley, and Swara Bhasker offered Richa her support. A journalist posted a screenshot of Richa Chadha’s tweet to Twitter along with the statement, “For the past forty years, ISI money has flowed into Bollywood. Through its assets, sometimes covertly and sometimes overtly through the underworld. Nothing else could account for such blood traitors. It is Richa Chadha.
Raveena tweeted in response to him on Friday: “Do not generalize or group altogether. As a result, there is animosity toward the Hindi film industry. Strong patriots who have been in the business for a long time have been and still are put down by a select few, and any good work done is then met with animosity and venom.”
Swara Bhasker posted on Twitter on Saturday, “@RichaChadha strength and love to you! (blue heart emoji)”
Richa received criticism from several Bollywood stars after she tweeted, “Galwan says hi,” which has since been deleted. Her tweet was in response to Lt. Gen. Upendra Dwivedi, commander of the Northern Army, saying that the Indian Army was “waiting for orders from the government” to retake Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Anupam Kher, Kay Kay Menon, and Akshay Kumar tweeted criticizing Richa.
One of the first Bollywood stars to respond to Richa’s tweet was Akshay Kumar. He had posted, “Hurts to see this. Nothing ever should make us ungrateful towards our armed forces. Woh hain toh aaj hum hain (They are there so we exist today).”,
Prakash Raj tweeted in response, “Didn’t expect this from you @akshaykumar… said that @RichaChadha is more relevant to our country than you sir…” and wrote, “Yes we stand with you @RichaChadha… we understand what you meant.” he wrote in support of Richa.
