About Khyati Henia:
Khyati Henia is 22 years old, a budding author, and a creative thinker inclined toward observing the human mind and behavior. She wasn’t born a writer or a reader, but she is good at expressing what she observes. This helped Khyati build her first asset, i.e., her first book – THE CHOICE YOU NEVER MADE – which brings awareness to poor choices by breaking fallacies.
What are Khyati Henia’s greatest milestones in her life journey?
Some of the greatest milestones in her life journey are fulfilling her parents’ and her own dreams. She has received academic awards and merit scholarships in the fields of psychology (B.A) and marketing (MBA) at her college, respectively. She had an opportunity to work with the best personalities in the country-Jacqueline Fernandez, Vatsal Sheth, Ishita Dutta, Vishal Jethwa, PMO India, Kiska Brand, Bajega Show, etc. She wrote her first book when she was 22 years old – THE CHOICE YOU NEVER MADE, which debuted at #4 in the Self-Esteem Category on Amazon Hot New Releases within 12 hours of its release on Amazon.in.
What are the lessons from the challenges she has faced and how did she overcome them?
She wanted to write a book that reflected new perspectives on how and why they make certain choices. She was not a writer before, but she is good at expressing thoughts. She busted a myth that she doesn’t need to write jargon words with long sentences to make the book look fancy because a reader wants short, relatable, and meaningful words to comprehend. Using this strategy, she finished writing her first book in 50 days. She learned that she didn’t need to do different things; she did simple things differently. That stands out!
Mention some of the values she lives by and would advise others to do the same…
She believes everything is created twice, once in the mind and then in your reality. If you have strong faith in them, nothing can stand in your way of achieving your goals. After all, the universe loves a stubborn heart, and she’s got one already!
She wants to highlight how she made her dream come true and how she is living her dream with open eyes. She also talks about being able to write her first successful book at such a young age to inspire other millennial writers. She is not an avid reader (she read only 3 books before writing her own) or writer, but good at expressing what she observes, which helped her make this book do wonders on Amazon. Millennials find the book very relatable since it talks about how the choices reflect issues in their lives—love, career, money, overthinking, overriding emotions, staying in the victim mentality, seeing happiness as a distraction from a sad life, and romanticizing suffering in life as normal due to our default mode of functioning.
