About Dr. PARTHA MUKHOPADHYAY
Dr. Partha Mukhopadhyay has done a lot of research on unorganized labor, particularly among farmers. He has completed his Ph.D. from NIT-Durgapur, India. He has been working at the Durgapur Steel Plant (SAIL) since 1993. He has completed a post-graduate degree in the HR area and an MBA (Finance). He also completed Six-Sigma, a Diploma in Integrated Management Systems, etc.

He has achieved the prestigious Nehru Award in 2002 and INSSAN Awards in the Distinguish category in 2013 and 2014 for technical paper presentation. To date, he has published and presented more than thirty-five research papers in national and international level seminars and conferences, including IIM Lucknow, IIM Calcutta, National Stock Exchange, etc. Some of his papers have been published in international journals and books, and these have been indexed by Scopus, etc. Papers Reviewed: 22 papers were reviewed (including Springer, SAGE, Taylor & Francis, FIIB Business Review, etc.).
What is the learning from the challenges he has faced and how did he overcome them?
From 2011 to 2016, He investigated farmers’ decision-making processes, and there was a search for why the farmers committed suicide and the solutions, which were documented in research papers published by Springer Nature-Singapore, IGI-Global-USA, and others. Another challenge that he identified is the acceptance of crop insurance among farmers. Because many of them do not have valid land papers and are in a quandary, etc., these are also published in IJABIM, USA.
