About Kota Suresh Kumar:
Since 2018, Kota Suresh Kumar has served as Professor and HOD Psychiatry at Katuri Medical College. He has a total PG teaching experience of 10 years. He has guided around 10 PG students in psychiatry. He has been running an exclusive psychiatric nursing home in Guntur for more than three decades. He has also given various talks at IMA national and international psychiatry conferences.
What are Kota Suresh Kumar’s greatest milestones in his life journey?
Getting a Gold Medal in Forensic Medicine during his MBBS was one of the important earlier milestones in his life. Later, he stood at Punjab University first in MD Psychiatry and later started his own exclusive psychiatric nursing home in Guntur. He began working as a tutor, assistant associate, and later as a Professor of Psychiatry at NRI Medical College in 2004. He worked as president of the AP State Psychiatry Society and conducted a state conference. He worked as the Dean of Medical Specialties at AP State IMA. She also worked as President of the Lions Club of South Guntur. recently assumed leadership of the Indian Association of Social Psychology.
What are the lessons from the challenges he has faced and how did he overcome them?
Treatment during the COVID period was the most challenging. He conducted online video counseling for a lot of his COVID patients. He participated in an A.P. state government counseling project for COVID patients.
Because of the lockdown, medical students could not attend classes. For these students, online teaching was done, which was a new experience. Kota Suresh Kumar has also conducted around 100 webinars for students, doctors, and the general public.
