Personally, his most significant milestone is working for the people of the nation during the COVID-19 pandemic, when he cooked and distributed food for 1,000 people for a stretch of 45 days. He also distributed more than 100 ration packets to the needy and poor.
Professionally, his most significant achievement was working for reputable clients such as Airtel Africa in his early career stages and never looking back since. Not only this, he is very active in working for the betterment of society while helping and keeping society neat and clean by participating in the Swacch Bharat drive through the Anti-Polythyne Campaign and Plantation Drive.
What are the lessons from the challenges Himanshu Sethi faced and how did he overcome them? (50 to 70 words)
Himanshu Sethi faced various challenges in his life, both at a personal and professional level. On the personal level, he lost his mother just after completing his graduation (in his final semester in the year 2007), and his family and friends supported him a lot at that time, so he went for his higher studies there.
Professionally, when he was at his young professional stage and was working for a reputed client like Airtel Africa, he got the task of formulating and executing the online strategy for the client. At that point in time, social media was pretty new at that point in time, but he worked continuously for more than 72 hours in the office and came out victorious.
Mention some of the values he upholds and would recommend to others…
As a youngster, he would like to give a suggestion to today’s youth only: you can earn money for your family, but try to do something for the betterment of society. Your small efforts can accomplish things you never thought possible. Try to live for others as well.
Mr. Himanshu Sethi, as we know, is a social activist who did a fantastic job during COVID-19, where he himself, along with his family and friends, cooked and distributed food for the needy people for around 45 consecutive days, along with 100+ ration packets which were distributed during the course. He was also serving as a control-room-in-charge in Singh Sabha Gurudwara Sector 15 Faridabad along with Faridabad Administration, Gurudwara Administration, Faridabad Counsellors, ward in-charge, and volunteers.
Not only this, he is very active in working for the betterment of society while helping and keeping society neat and clean by participating in the Swacch Bharat drive through the Anti-Polythyne Campaign and Plantation Drive. He socially believes in equality of the genders and works for women’s empowerment. In parallel, he is constantly and constructively engaged in making Faridabad a smarter city to live in. He has the vision to help children become more educated irrespective of their caste, gender, and economic barriers as well. He wants equality in the education system, for which he wants reservations to be given on the basis of their economic conditions rather than on a caste basis. He is the National Vice President of the Human Rights and Social Justice Committee.
Along with his social activities, he is also known for his love of sports. He was ex-vice president of the Faridabad District Boxing Association, Faridabad. His love for cricket is indispensable and irreplaceable. He was the owner of the Noida Crease Hunters team and the President of the T10 Grassroots Cricketers Association, Uttar Pradesh, which was an integral part of the T10 Grassroots Cricketers Association of India and the World. T10 GCA Uttar Pradesh received strong support from Bollywood celebrities such as Mr. Vikrant Anand (actor), Mr. Amit Mutreja (singer), Mr. Sohit Soni (comedian), Mr. Keshav Sachin, and actresses such as Ms. Jyoti Pancholi, Ms. Khushi Anand, Ms. Anjali Bansal, and others.
